Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is “very happy” at Al-Nassr and wants to stay at the club following a disagreement over the club’s ownership earlier this month.
Ronaldo played two matches in the Saudi Pro League, against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad, as he reportedly felt let down by the club’s hierarchy.
The 41-year-old believed they had failed to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window and claimed they lacked ambition.
But Ronaldo returned against Al-Fateh to score in a 2-0 win before also netting a goal in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Al-Hazem to send them top of the table.
He scored his 500th goal after turning 30 in the last, and after the match Ronaldo committed his future to the Saudi Pro League.
“I am very happy,” Ronaldo told Saudi broadcaster Thmanyah. “As I often say: I belong to Saudi Arabia.

“It is a country that has welcomed me, my family and my friends very well. I am happy here and I want to continue here.”
“The most important thing is that we keep pushing [for the league title]we are at the top. We do our job, we win, we create pressure. Let’s see at the end of the season.”
Ronaldo arrived at Al-Nassr in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United and signed a two-year contract extension last June.
Al-Nassr is one of four clubs majority-owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), along with Al-Ittihah, Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, who signed Karim Benzema in January and are their top title contenders.
Al-Nassr currently leads the pack in the Saudi Pro League and has a one-point lead at the top of the table after leapfrogging Al-Hilal, who dropped points against Al-Ittihad on Saturday.
