Rohit led recently India to a pair of ICC titles: the T20 World Cup in 2024 and the Champions
Trophy in 2025. He briefly retired from the shortest format after clinching the title in Barbados and later brought the curtain down on his Test career in 2025. Rohit now plays exclusively in the 50-over format and his eyes are set on representing the nation at the 2027 World Cup.

She also became the second Indian, after former legendary skipper MS Dhoni, to win a 50-over World Cup at home. For years, the Women’s World Cup had eluded India. However, Harmanpreet and her group ensured that India had a campaign to remember. The 2025 Women’s World Cup was Harmanpreet’s fifth major event since his debut in 2009.
She registered 260 runs in eight innings, including a match-defining 89 in the semi-final against Australia. Indiawho were in the background after the first innings, came back strongly in the chase to track a record 339 and book their place in the final. The top competition, which was also held at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, went the way of Women in Blue as they defeated the South Africans by 52 runs in the script’s history.
