Sting is sued for millions of pounds about missing royalties by his former police bandmates.

Sting, real name Gordon Matthew Sumner, 73, is now involved in another legal battle, because he receives a Supreme Court from guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland.

The rock band formed in London in 1977 and consisted of Sting, Summers and Copeland.

Over the years, the group has broken up and reformed, first farewell in 1984 and the most recent reunification in 2008.

After their first divorce, Sting received a successful solo career and released 15 albums between 1985 and 2021, many of which have become platinum.

His most famous solo numbers are Desert Rose, Fields of Gold and Englishman in New York.

His most successful songs remain the one he wrote for the five albums of the police. He was the only writer for their most successful songs (including Roxanne, message in a bottle, is not so close to me, and every little thing she does is magic), which means he has collected the royalties in recent decades.

Every breathing that you get was the best -selling single from 1983 and the fifth best sold in the decade, with reports that Sting earns ÂŁ 550,000 a year from royalties.

The former band members of Sting are not the only ones who have had royalty problems with the singer. Sean Diddy Combs still pays a large sum of money after a legal battle for royalties.
