Rishabh Pant continued to pile misery on England with yet another half-century on Saturday. The left-hander struggling with an injury, put through a fine knock in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test at Lord’s. Pant was hit on the hand while keeping and was off the field, but braved the pain to lead India’s charge on Day 3.
Rishabh Pant torments England despite injury
Rishabh Pant walked into bat with India losing couple of wickets in quick succession. The 27-year-old injured his left hand on Day 1 and did not keep wickets for most of England’s innings.
Joining KL Rahul, the left-hander stitched a vital partnership to take India to safer waters. Pant struggled while batting, grimacing in pain due to his injury. He nonetheless kept his usual pyrotechnics on, advancing to Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes early on Day 3.
The Indian physio tended to Pant a couple of times in the first hour, further highlighting the amount of pain he is playing through. To his credit, the 27-year-old did not lose his concentration and motored along to his second half-century of the India vs England series.
