Ripple Price Analysis: What’s Next for XRP After a Rise to $2?

Ripple’s XRP has shown signs of strength entering 2026, bouncing off key support levels after a prolonged downtrend. While price action remains below the major moving averages, the recent bullish push gives traders a reason to keep a close eye. Momentum is shifting, but major resistance levels still need to be cleared to confirm a reversal.

XRP Technical Analysis: The USDT Pair

On the daily chart, XRPUSDT is trading around $2.00 after rising from the $1.8 support zone. The price is still in a descending channel, but today’s daily candle is testing the upper trendline.

The 100- and 200-day moving averages sit above it, acting as dynamic resistance above the $2.30 zone. If the asset breaks the descending channel and reverses this resistance zone, the next target is around $2.50 and beyond. The RSI has broken above 60, indicating strengthening momentum, but is approaching overbought territory, which could trigger near-term consolidation.

The BTC pair

On the XRPBTC chart, the price has risen sharply towards the 2,230 sat region, after rising just above the 2,000 sat key mid-level. The pair are now looking at the critical supply zone of 2,500 sats.

Earlier in December, the 100-day moving average crossed below the 200-day moving average, indicating a bearish outlook, with the former now acting as immediate resistance. Still, the RSI is now accelerating upward as the price is moving aggressively higher. If the current momentum continues, XRP could soon challenge the higher resistance bands.
