Brad Garlinghouse brought it to X earlier today to announce that Ripple collaborated with Securitize, a leading supplier of digital assets infrastructure, to launch a smart contract that will also benefit holders of BlackRock’s Build and VanCeck’s Vbill.
More precisely, such holders will be able to exchange their shares for Ripple for the company’s stablecoin rlusd ($ 1.00).
According to the announcement, this new smart contract will “add an extra stablecoin off-disaster for build and vbill-tokenized short-term funds.” Jack McDonald, SVP Van Stablecoins in Ripple, noted:
