Police complaint filed against Rinku Singh in Aligarh

The backlash was such that Karni Sena district president Sumit Tomar called Rinku a ‘jihadi’.
Sumit Tomar was quoted by The Week: “Making our gods wear glasses and dance to English songs will not be tolerated. Rinku Singh should publicly apologize to Sanatan Dharma.”
The video also included text suggesting that the left-handed hitter’s success was due to God’s blessings. Many believe the message was meant to show faith and gratitude for his journey in cricket. However, the way the message was presented evoked anger rather than appreciation.
