Stephen King -story about a teenage miracle that wakes up in a mysterious facility goes to a second season.

Horror series The Institute Was renewed this week for a second series.

“The institute has made the public enthusiastic with its distinctive stories and exceptional performances that skillfully bring the single voice of Stephen King to the screen,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+. “We are so happy that we can continue this hair -raising journey and dive even deeper into the secrets of The Institute In season two. “

The series tells the story of teen prodigy Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman), who is abducted and wakes up in a mysterious facility full of children who have arrived under more comparable sinister circumstances and all have strange supernatural skills.

The cast also includes Mary-Louise Parker, Simone Miller, Fionn Laird, Jason Diaz, Jane Luk, Julian Richings and Robert Joy.
