Religare Broking appoints Vijay Kumar Goel as Managing Director

Religare Broking on Monday said it has appointed Vijay Kumar Goel as managing director as the brokerage firm focuses on scaling its core business and expanding its wealth product offering.Before joining Religare Broking, Goel was self-employed as an Executive Coach and Business Growth Consultant, mentoring senior leaders and advising financial services firms on growth and transformation.

In his new role, Goel will be responsible for driving Religare Broking’s growth agenda, strengthening customer engagement and further strengthening the company’s digital and research capabilities, the brokerage said in a statement.

With over thirty years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, Doel brings expertise in brokerage, retail NBFC, asset management, distribution of investment and insurance products, private asset management and affordable housing finance.

In his career, he spent over 14 years at Motilal Oswal Group, where he served at various stages as MD and CEO across the brokerage and distribution, private asset management and housing finance businesses.

He spent eleven years with the Aditya Birla Group, working across multiple financial services firms, starting his career in 1994.

Indranil Choudhury, Group CHRO, Religare Enterprises said Goel’s “appointment will be instrumental in driving the company’s next phase of growth”.
