There is no longer much confusion, because this afternoon Elly De La Cruz was added to the updated list of participants. But he wasn’t the only person added to the list either. Here are the new additions to the list released today:

Some big additions to the list today. The addition of Barry Larkin is a big one, and it also gets two major leaguers on top of De La Cruz, while adding Ke’Bryan Hayes and Noelvi Marte to the roster. With the three current player additions, there are now 36 players on the 40-man roster who will be there. Those not currently scheduled: Jose Franco, Chase Petty, Brady Singer and Edwin Arroyo.
Both Jose Franco and Edwin Arroyo compete in winter league baseball and their teams are currently in the playoffs in the Venezuelan and Puerto Rican winter leagues.
