Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver felt privileged after he had expanded his contract with the club.
Stuver drew a new two-year-old deal until the end of the 2027 season, with an option for the 2028 campaign.
Since Stuver came to Austin in 2021, no goalkeeper has made more saves in MLS than the 34-year-old (619), while he also stopped the fourth fines at the time (five) and 10th shots.
Stuver hopes to celebrate his contract extension with a victory against Play-Offs-hunting Real Salt Lake, while Austin wants to cement their place in the late season.
“For me, Austin has become home,” Stuver told the club website.
“The way this community has embraced me since the beginning was downright incredible.
“It has been a privilege to represent the club on and next to the field and I am grateful for all the experiences I have had here in the last five years, while I look at much more.”
Sports director of Austin, Rodolfo Borrell, added: “Brad was an important part of Austin FC during his time in the club.
“His consistency on the field and positive influence in both the dressing room and the community are admirable, and we are delighted that he can sign a new contract.”

RSL, who only won once in their last six games, wants to jump back from back-to-back 4-1 defeats against Los Angeles FC.
They are only three points of the play-in places in the Western Conference and have played less a match than the two teams above them.

Real Salt Lake – Brayan Vera
Brayan Vera scored his sixth career MLS -targeted time -out, with five from outside the box.
Since the beginning of 2023, the five league goals from Vera from outside the box are two more than any other MLS defender.
Austin FC – Brad Stuver
Stuver recorded five Saves in his last game against the Seattle Sounders to bring his season total to 109 Saves, the second most in MLS this season (Kristijan Kahlina – 112).
Stuver tries to become the first goalkeeper in the MLS history that leads the competition in Rescue in three consecutive seasons.

RSL is unbeaten in their last four games (W2 D2) against Austin, where both teams score in each of those four games. Both teams have only secured one clean sheet in the 10 all time meetings in all competitions.
RSL, however, has lost six of their last eight games, bringing their total to 16 competition losses in 2025. It is the second most competition nomes in club history after recording 22 in their inaugural season of 2004.
Austin picked up their 12th victory in the regular season of 2025 with their victory over Seattle, their most in one season since placing a club-best 16 victories in 2022. The Verde has six MLS wins of this season, which is a shy of the total Roadwinins of the team about the previous two seasons.
