Real Madrid has officially announced the exit of manager Carlo Ancelotti with the Italian to take the lead on Brazil prior to the World Cup of next year.
Ancelotti comes at the end of his second spell that was in charge of Los Blancos, who has been in charge since 2021.
He has won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Laliga twice in his second Stint twice and will be the first foreign coach of the Selecao on 26 May.
His last season was a disappointment, in which Madrid none of those trophies won, despite the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
The club said in a statement: ‘Real Madrid CF and Carlo Ancelotti have reached an agreement to terminate his term of office as a Real Madrid manager.
‘Our club wants to express its gratitude and affection for one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and World Football.

Ancelotti leaves the club after their last game of the season against Real Sociedad
‘Carlo Ancelotti led our team through one of the most successful periods in our 123-year history and has become the coach with most titles in our history: three European Cups, Three Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles and two Spanish Superbekers. A total of 15 titles during his six seasons in our club. ‘
Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez added: ‘Carlo Ancelotti is now part of the Great Real Madrid family forever.
‘We are proud to have enjoyed a coach who helped us achieve so much success and who also represented the values of our club in an exemplary way.
‘Tomorrow the Santiago Bernabéu will pay him to what the last match of Carlo Ancelotti will be as a real Madrid manager.
Real Madrid wishes him and his whole family good luck in this new phase of his life. ‘
In his own personal letter to real fans, Ancelotti wrote: ‘Today we are going to get divorced ways again. Again, I take my heart in every moment that I have lived in this beautiful second phase as a Real Madrid coach.
‘It has been unforgettable years, an incredible journey full of emotions, titles and especially proud of representing this shield.

‘Thanks to President Florentino Perez, at the club, to my players, to my staff and, especially, to this unique fan who has always given me as one of them.
‘What we have achieved together will forever remain in the memory of Madridisimo … Not only for the triumphs, but also for the way we have reached them. The magical nights of the Bernabéu are already football history.
‘Now a new adventure starts, but my band with Real Madrid is eternal. See you Madridistas! Hala Madrid y Nada Más! ‘
Ancelotti will be replaced by Xabi Alonso, who announced earlier this month that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen after winning the Bundesliga and German Cup with the club last season.
