Team India’s left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja outwitted South African opener Aiden Markram with a peach on Day 4 (Tuesday, November 24) of the second Test at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The veteran bowler bowled over the right-handed batsman to give the team their second breakthrough in the innings.
South Africa started the day at 26/0 in their second innings with Ryan Rickelton and Aiden Markram at the crease. Jadeja provided the first wicket for the hosts by dismissing Rickelton, who scored 35 runs off 64 balls. The left-arm spinner took another wicket, leaving the Proteas at 74/2 in the second innings.

On the first ball of the 29th over, Ravindra Jadeja produced an unplayable delivery to remove Aiden Markram. The left-arm spinner threw the ball full on middle, made it grab and turn away sharply, and beat Markram’s forward defense on the outside edge.
The delivery saw the top of the stump clipped, leaving the batsman with no response despite his patient 29 off 84 balls. Jadeja celebrated the breakthrough as his teammates milled around him. South Africa’s defensive approach put them under pressure.

Ravindra Jadeja removes South African openers on Day 4 of the second Test
South Africa are in a dominant position in the second Test even after Ravindra Jadeja removed both openers early in the innings. India fell far behind in the match as the visitors continued to increase their lead.
At the time of writing, the Temba Bavuma-led team were at 79/3, with Tristan Stubbs and Tony de Zorzi in the fold. Washington Sundar added a third goal for India by sending Temba Bavuma back for just three.
South Africa, who are already 1-0 up in the two-match series after their 30-run win in Kolkata, have a chance to secure a series win. The visitors have not won a Test series in India since the 1999-2000 tour. They do everything they can to put an end to that long wait.
