The Toronto Raptors upset defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder 103-101 to earn their fourth straight victory on Sunday night.
Immanuel Quickley dropped 23 points and grabbed 11 boards, RJ Barrted added 14 and Scottie Barnes had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Raptors.
On the other hand, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 24 points on 8 of 11 shooting, reaching his 117th consecutive games of scoring at least 20 points, the second-longest streak in NBA history.
Lu Dort contributed a season-high 19 points, Kenrich Williams added 15 and Chet Holmgren scored 11 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma.
The Thunder suffered a surprising home loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday night, the third time this season they have lost consecutive games and only their fourth home loss.
Oklahoma was without starters Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein and key reserve Ajay Mitchell due to injuries.
Meanwhile, they also couldn’t guard Cason Wallace during the game due to left groin soreness.
The Raptors led 64-60 at halftime and held Gilgeous-Alexander to nine points on 2-for-5 shooting before halftime.
Gilgeous-Alexander got going in the third quarter and his driving layup gave the Thunder a 68-66 lead after scoring 12 points in the period to take an 81-79 lead into the fourth.
Toronto led 101-99 when Barnes blocked a short jumper from Holmgren.
Raptors’ Jamal Shead missed two free throws with 13 seconds left, but saved the rebound when Quickley was fouled and made two free throws with 8.2 seconds left.
The Thunder will host the Pelicans on Tuesday, while Toronto will host the Knicks on Wednesday.
