Randy Orton loses his cool on the extreme roller coaster at Six Flags – Muscle & Fitness

Randy Orton, the third-generation grappler and 14-time world wrestling champion, has been known for keeping his cool and rarely cracking a smile in his 25-plus year career in the ring, but a roller coaster at one of the world’s biggest theme parks would have fans in trouble.

Orton, who is known worldwide as the man behind the viral ‘RKO Outta Nowhere’ social media craze, and is normally stoic as he metes out punishment to his hapless wrestling opponents, gave fans a glimpse of his hilarious side during a recent trip to promote the upcoming Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. There, the man they call “The Viper” found himself pitted against the insane “Iron Rattler” ride at Six Flags in Qiddiya City. This roller coaster is certainly not for the faint of heart, as riders are literally placed on the edge as they teeter towards the ground, before the seats start moving at breakneck speed. During the extreme experience, brave participants are forced to fight back against panic while more than 63 meters above the ground. And when the roller coasters start moving, they will reach speeds of more than 70 mph.

With a video camera pointed at his face, Orton joked, “I changed my mind,” as the ride left the starting station. Still, he seemed relatively calm at this point and the man who has survived steel cages and ladder matches looked good as the roller coaster started climbing into the air. However, the mood would soon change.

“They’re not kidding around,” Orton joked, noticing that the people on the ground were starting to look like ants. “Who all is behind us?” the WWE icon asks, seeking the reassurance that the likes of Liv Morgan and Tiffany Stratton were right behind him. “Everyone’s working on it,” Morgan replied with an anxious smile. Still, Orton continued to put a brave face on his predicament, shouting “yes” and raising his hands for his signature pose. Seeing that a drone was also recording the action, Orton asked again if it wasn’t too late to change his mind. By now the gang was at the point of no return.

“Hey, just tighten your core,” Orton advises his WWE colleagues before their chairs begin to tilt down, leading to a barrage of further expletives from The Viper.

Now speaking to God, Orton finally lost his trademark composure as the ride transitioned to high pitch. “Oh shit,” he exclaimed as the footage showed Orton doing a full 360-degree loop on the Iron Rattler. While the WWE legend is laughing nervously, fans on social media were in stitches as their hero met his match. “This is amazing,” Orton shouted as fear began to settle in his chest. “Brooklyn would love this,” he said, thinking of his daughter as he turned to his wife Kim. “Yes, love!”

As the ride mercifully came to a stop, Orton let out a round of applause for the ride. “That was fucking amazing,” he concluded, elated to have completed the Iron Rattler. But while his experience must have been amazing, we’re the ones who saw him do it, and now we like Randy Orton all the more!

The master of the RKO finishing move will find himself in more familiar territory on January 31, 2026, when he competes in the WWE Royal Rumble live from Riyadh. The premium event will stream on ESPN in the US and internationally on Netflix.
