Newcastle United has finally announced the signing of Jacob Ramsey.
The midfielder has been depicted on Tyneside in recent days and completed his medical Thursday and Friday, but he has now been officially unveiled by the club.
Ramsey has a “long-term deal” signed a contract of five years and is expected to cost an initial £ 39 million that could increase to £ 43 million after add-ons.

After a “crazy” for a few days, Jacob Ramsey revealed his joy to become a member of Newcastle United and it describes as a “big move” in his career.
The 24-year-old greeted Howe’s ability to develop players and is clearly eager to follow Livramento, Hall and Gordon to become a completely international in England:
“I am very happy to be here. It has been a madman for two or three days, but I am really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started.
“This is a big move for me, but as soon as I knew that the Gaffer was interested and I really liked it, it didn’t take much time to decide. His track record of developing players, especially those who have become internationals, speaks for themselves.
“It was always a tough game that played against Newcastle for Villa – the team is full of energy, so athletic and the fans are so passionate. I feel that my game fits and I am excited to be on the other side now.”
Howe is clearly pleased to land another target in the long term, in the conviction that his versatility and directness can add a lot to his midfield.
He said, “Jacob is another fantastic addition to our team. His qualities bring us something different on the field and he fits with the profile of young and hungry to develop, but also with a wealth of Premier League football under his belt.
“Jacob offers versatility and his directness in attack and has turned out to be a real threat in recent seasons at this level. He also performed very well in the Champions League last season and we believe that he will be an important asset to us.”
