RAM 1500 Recalls for electric power steering has failed, a lawsuit claims

The majority of claims rejected after RAM 1500 owners complained about losing power steering.

– A Fiat Chrysler Class Action -Right case claims that RAM 1500 power steering Recallions did not repair the trucks.

But Chrysler argues that the RAM 1500 trucks are not defective and that problems with electric power steering have been repaired.

The RAM 1500 Class Action -Rechtszaak includes:

“All persons or entities that have purchased a RAM 1500 vehicle 2013-2024 in the United States or rented it to an authorized FCA dealer.”

FCA is said to have hidden the problems of customers, although two recall actions for electric power steering have been issued. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also opened an investigation into RAM 1500 Electric power steering problems 2013-2016, a study that is still open.

The RAM 1500 customers who complained that the trucks complain can suddenly lose power steering while driving and without warning. Steering capacity remains, but the steering wheel will be more difficult to turn.

According to the claimants, the replacement components can cost up to $ 4,000 and because of the alleged defects all 2013-2016 RAM 1500 customers can pay too much for their trucks.

Chrysler returned a RAM 1500 electric power steering in 2016, but it was RAM 1500 trucks for less than 500 model year 2015-2016. A loss of power steering was accused of contaminating the circuit boards of the electric power steering unit.

Dealers were told to replace the RAM 1500 electric power steering.

But in 2019 another RAM 1500 steering steering was announced due to problems with defective electric power steering. However, the truck return was small, less than 200 trucks.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation was opened in August 2023, including more than 1.1 million RAM 1500 trucks and electric power steering problems.

Since the recall in 2016, nearly 400 complaints had been submitted about power steering errors in RAM 1500 trucks 2013-2016.

RAM 1500 owners complained that they had to replace the steering rack and the rounds components when the electric power steering units failed.

To date, federal safety regulations are still investigating the trucks.

Motion to dismiss the RAM 1500 power steering

Chrysler has submitted a motion to reject the lawsuit in power steering and the majority of the claims could be rejected.

The RAM 1500 electric power steering business started as a national action, but only survived state claims.

Judge Robert A. Kirsch has rejected all claims against Chrysler, except for violations of the Florida Deceptive and Un atmosphere Trade Practices Act, Florida implicit guarantee of salability and fraud by Verfing under the Law of Florida.

The only other state that will go further is Pennsylvania based on claims of violating unfair commercial practices and the consumer protection legislation, and the Pennsylvania implied the guarantee of sellability.
