Rahul Dravid Share ways with Rajasthan Royals
The RR exit by Jake Lush McCrum comes weeks after the legendary Batsman of India and the head coach, Rahul Dravid, said goodbye to the franchise.
Dravid had a good long -term relationship with the royals, but stopped as a head coach only a year after the job. He started his journey with the inaugural IPL champions in 2011 and was appointed as the leader of the team for 2012 and 2013. He was Captain RR in 40 games and won 23.
In 2014 and 2015, Rahul Dravid served as team mentor and director. Then, after a long break, Dravid was mentioned in September 2024 as the Rajasthan Royals -Hoofdcoach, at the back of the T20 World Cup 2024 -winning as an India head coach.
He drew a multi -year deal with the franchise, but in IPL 2025 Rajasthan Royals finished in ninth place on the point table with only four wins in 14 games. After a horror show in IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals offered a wider strategic role to Dravid, but he chose not to accept it.
Sanju Samson is also on its way from the Rajasthan Royals
To make matters worse, the captain of Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sanju Samson, is also set up to renounce the franchise because he has already asked for his release.
Allegedly Sanju Samson is unhappy with the RR management and some of the decisions taken before the IPL 2025 Mega auction, including the release of Jos Buttler.
The final decision about whether Samson will be forced to stay, traded to another franchise, or released in the auction will be taken by the team owner, Manoj Badale.
According to reports, even if Samson stays with the franchise, he will not get the captain, and one under Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be mentioned as the new skipper.
