The profit of the PSU railway company after tax (Pat) fell 42% on quarter-on-quarterly compared to RS 113 Crore reported in Q4FY25. The top line fell 43% in the revision of the quarter compared to RS 1,308 Crore in the quarter of January-March of FY25.
The income was announced after market hours and Railtel shares that ended today with a sharp decrease, dropped 16.35 or 4.15% to RS 378.
The company earned RS 14 Crore in other income compared to RS 19 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year and RS 20 Crore in Q4FY24.

One of the big heads was ‘access and other costs’, license costs for DOT, project costs, financing costs and costs for employee benefits.
