In the meantime, an official statement was released by NZC that the young all-rounder collided with a perimeter limit that hoarded during field practice. Although Rachin has passed the concussion tests, he suffered from a facial crack, which required stitches and takes the time to heal.
Kiwi head coach Rob Walter said they are disappointed to lose Rachin Ravindra for the series and hopeful that he is fit for the upcoming English series. He said:
“We are all really disappointed that Rachin is forced to miss the series. He has risen a big crack to his upper lip and nose area that requires specialist and complicated stitching and takes the time to cure.
“Rachin is clearly an important player for us, but his health and well -being is our top priority, and so the decision was made to send him home to recover with a view to the English series in two weeks.”
James Nesham replaces Rachin Ravindra in the team
New Zealandse Cricket (NZC) has mentioned James Neesham as a replacement for Rachin Ravindra in the T20i team for the Australia series.
About this spoken, Rob Walter greeted the Tempo-Bowling all-rounder and said that he brings an abundance of experience with himself that will help the team in the Chappell-Hadlee trophy. He explained:
“We are lucky that we can call Jimmy who brings all his experience and all-round possibilities. It will be a big night in Bay Oval and I know that we are all looking forward to getting the Chappell-Hadlee going.”
It is a huge honor to have the trophy in my last name – Sir Richard Hadlee
In an official statement issued by NZC, Sir Richard Hadlee said that having a trophy named after him is an enormous honor and advised the side led by Michael Bracewell to perform well and bring the trophy home.
“It’s a huge honor to have the trophy in my last name and it’s great to hear that the players still really appreciate it,” said Hadlee.
“In every sport between New Zealand and Australia, the rivalry is always there and it is certainly the case for cricket given the legendary history between the parties. We have always been a somewhat underrated team and we have to pick up our game to be the bigger brother.”
“The message for Michael Bracewell and the team to play without fear. There should be no more fear against Australia – things like that are gone and to be the best you have to beat the best.”
