Former TopSpion David Petraeus has warned that Vladimir Putin wants to move to another European country after installing a pro-Kremlin puppet to make his bids in Ukraine
A former CIA chef has warned that Vladimir Putin will expand his bloody campaign further in Europe if he was allowed to claim the victory in Ukraine – after he had set his sights on one important nation.
David Petraeus, chairman of the Agency between 2011 and 2012 during the Obama Government, has warned that the Russian despot would march to the Baltic States of Europe. Putin is said to have been set up to launch a devastating summer offensive on Ukraine in the coming weeks, after he recently performed both drone and rocket attacks in an attempt to defeat the moral of the country. Now, Mr Petraeus said, he wants to claim the whole country for himself before he continues a nation that has often presented in his speeches.

Speaking of the policy exchange think tank in London this week, Mr Petraeus said that Russia wants to remove Zensky and want to replace him with a pro-Russian puppet.
He said that the Kremlin “wants to install a doll leader and want to control the whole of Ukraine”. He added that, once this goal has been achieved, Putin continued to “one of the Baltic states”. He added: “Once that is done, you will see them focusing on one of the Baltic states.”
Mr Petraeus specifically warned that the Russian neighbor Lithuania would be on the list and said: “Lithuania has prominently present in his speeches and we should have listened much more.”
Long before the war in Ukraine started in 2022, Putin often urged that the country was part of Russia and that Ukrainians and Russians were “one people”. In 2020 he said: “Kyiv is the mother of Russian cities. Ancient Russian is our common source and we cannot live without each other.”
Driven organizations with Kremlin have made similar claims about Lithuania. The Russian Top Foreign Policy Institute MGIMO published a history of 400 pages of the country and claimed that it was exclusively established as a proxy for Polish terrorism.
The book, which is supplied with a written preface by Putin’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, adds that the exit of the country from the crumbling USSR was fraudulent and undemocratic in 1991. Lithuanian officials are aware of the open hostility of Russia against the country, so that last month an evacuation plan for his capital Vilnius, in the case of an invasion, had unveiled.
The National Government has also invested in updating its limit defenses, especially in a criticism of limit state that is known as the Suwałki gorge.
The point has long been seen as one of the most likely staging areas for a Russian attack on Lithuania, with the Lithuanian vice minister of Defense Tomas Godliuskas who says polico that the fortifications are “crucial for us from a safety and defense perspective”. The Lord Godliuskas added: “They have always been part of our civil military planning as important ground routes for allied support during a crisis.”
