Pura -Geosen remembers more than 850,000 diffuser coverage because some magnets can release themselves and cause a possible intake danger to children.
The company calls on the removable covers for around 851,400 Pura 4 Smart Home odor diffusers. It said that an extra 1,100 were sold in Canada.
Pura scents said that the magnets on the inside of the product can release themselves and have an intake danger to children. When powerful magnets are swallowed, the magnets taken can attract each other or other metal objects and record in the digestive system. This can lead to perforations, turning or blockade of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning and death.
The company has received three reports of magnets from the coverage. No injuries have been reported.
The diffusers were sold at Target, Scheels and other stores nationwide from August 2023 to May 2025 for around $ 50. They were also sold online via the Pura website, as well as online at Amazon, Target and Scheels.
Pura Scents offers a free replacement change. Consumers are advised to immediately remove the existing removable coverage and to keep the diffusers out of the reach of children and pets.
To receive the free replacement coverage, individuals can contact PURA scents on 855-394-5292 free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The company can also be emailed at replacement@pura.com. Consumers can also visit the website of the company and click on the “Recall” page for more information.
