Punjab National Bank (PNB) Staatsverbit has inaugurated its first Startup-Centric branch in New Delhi on Wednesday.
In line with the Startup India Initiative, this branch is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and supports innovation through services, including all facets of bank solutions, PNB said in a statement.
The inauguration of the branch was done in the presence of Arvind Kumar, director -general, Software -Technology Parks of India (STPI) and PNB MD & CEO Ashok Chandra.
Furthermore, a mou was signed between PNB and STPI to extend financial support to eligible startups, said it.
De Mou was signed by PNB General Manager Sudhir Dalal and STPI Director Subodh Sachan.
Under this collaboration, STPI will play a crucial role by sharing a composite list of incubated, underboard or graduated startups with the bank, acting as a bridge between the startups and financial institutions to facilitate access to PNB’s start-up-oriented schedules and financial products, it said.
On the occasion, Chandra spoke to a relentless dedication to support the entrepreneurial ambitions of the country.
“This devoted startup location offers an extensive and one-stop bank solution tailored to startups. The bank’s association with STPI will stimulate the start-up cosystem for financial solutions that will feed the growth of emerging entrepreneurs,” he said.
