Proton has announced its group sales figures before September 2025, revealing that it delivered 13,395 units (domestic and export) last month, which is 1,833 units – or 12.04% – less than the 15,228 units that managed it in August. This brought its total turnover in Q3 to 42,141 units and the year-to-date (YTD) volume up to 114,297 units, the latter was 0.9% ahead of the same period last year.
The company added that its market share for the month is estimated at 23.4%, while the YTD market share of 19.9%is. In terms of model -specific performance, there is no surprise about the bestseller of the brand that is again the Saga. With 6,058 units that shifted last month, this makes the third consecutive monthly sale of the Sedan the 6000 unit marking.
Elsewhere, the new X50 continued to perform strongly, with 3,438 units delivered in the second full month of sale of the model, making it its segment leader and the overall best SUV in the country. Until the end of September, the YTD sale for the SUV was 21,154 units, which was recorded 24.4% for it last year.
No monthly numbers were provided for the X70, where the brand easily indicated that YTD numbers until September for the SUV was 6,033 units, 10.1% for its volume from the same period in 2024.
Regarding the X90, 194 units were sold in September. In the meantime, last month, 979 units of the S70 -Sedan were sold and placed them between the persona and Iriz, which reached the turnover of 1,161 and 278 units respectively.
The EMAS 7 remains the most popular EV in the country, with the 845 units that are sold in September, so that its total turnover is brought to 6,656 units in nine months. With the approaching arrival of EMAS 5 and the start of the local meeting in his new EV factory in Tanjong Malim, the company said that it is a significant increase in his EV sales performance in 2026.
“The third quarter is exceptionally good for the company and we intend to bring this momentum in the last three months of the year to reach both our volume -target and a springboard for 2026,” said Proton Edar deputy CEO Zhang Qiang.
The export numbers were also mentioned, with the export -oriented subsidiary of the Automaker, Proton International Sales Corporation, which registered the sale of 815 units last month. This brings the YTD export sales to 3,959 units, 56% for the previous year. Leading the export costs was the X50, with volume this year grows by 220%, while 443 units of the EMAS 7 have been exported so far in 2025.
