Proposed Walker Kessler-Jazz trade helps everyone involved (except himself)

Yes, We know it. This act is a bit tiring because the Utah Jazz is not Trading Walker Kessler. Finally, we have heard something about this subject, it seems almost to confirm that the plan is to keep it. However, that did not prevent transactions being driven. Especially those where the jazz serves absolutely no benefit.

That’s the case with Eric Pincus from Bleacher ReportThe newest proposed trade between Jazz, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. He presented the next trade between the three teams.

Celtics received: Kessler, $ 27.7 million

Receive heat: Anfernee Simons, Design rights on John Tonje, $ 3.9 million Jaime Jaquez Jr. TPE

Receive jazz: Terry Rozier, Neemias Queta, Jaquez, 2026 Celtics Protected First Round Pick, 2026 Celtics Second Round Pick, 2029 Heat Protected first round Swap (Top-Fijf Protected), $ 5.5 million of the Celtics, $ 4.9 million of the heat of the heat

For the Celtics they not only get a badly needed big man, but they also save a lot of money, so they would of course trade that way. The heat is basically upgrading Rozier to Simons while gaining some young talent for their problems.

What does the jazz get from this? Pincus explained why they would agree to such an exchange.

“The young core of players (and veteran Lauri Markkanen) will have difficulty learning to win, but that is how teams like the Thunder have rebuilt in recent years. Should Jazz be bothered by Kessler if the team is far from fighting?

“The answer is now ‘no’, given that he has been eligible since the beginning of July. If the parties are far enough apart, Utah should cash in on the market. A downward season can harm his value, and if the team does not expect to win a lot this year, will Kessler wast like a trading if the team 15-25 games wins?”

Pincus also explained why Jaquez, Queta and Rozier would appeal to the jazz, but the real heading from the end of jazz in this trade idea is the trading of Kessler. Back to the reason for Pincus, if Utah thought that Kessler was not worth keeping around, they would have already traded him.

Even if Kessler has a Down season (probably not considering the season he just had and his limited free desk pops up), then that is fantastic for jazz. It means they can get him cheaper than what he is worth.

Teams that hope to build a competition, hope to get good players cheaply, so if Jazz can get the production of Kessler in the long term, there would be little wish to exchange him. If Kessler had become an RFA this season, he would understandably demand the Brinks trailer, and Utah would give it to him.

It is not necessary to mess with something that works. Kessler is a player who is good enough that if Utah really would consider acting, it would be for an upgrade.

It’s time to bring the Walker Kessler rumors to bed

Such a trade idea is based on the conviction that Jazz will entertain Kessler Trade, and although that is fed by the trade rumors of the last season in which the young great man is involved, the misunderstanding of the situation that Utah was itchy to get rid of him. They were not. They actually tried to see if they could sell him for more than he is worth if a team wanted him so badly.

That offer was not on the table, so Kessler remained and all fingers point out that he was held around. It is quite possible that the perception of Kessler’s jazz will turn its upside down in a year (or perhaps even less time). They can trade it next year, but it won’t be for something like that.
