Coaching assistant modules and learning management system
During the opening weeks of the month, the Coach Development Team has been working intensively to complete the Coaching Assistant modules so that they are ready for launch within the new online learning management system. This work represents an important step forward in modernizing coach education and improving the accessibility and quality of learning for coaches nationwide.
Exciting TT Kidz recordings were a success
Filming for the TT Kidz program took place at Shakespeare Primary School, Leeds, with Steve Brunskill in attendance supporting Area Manager Lauren Evans and working with Tim McGovern, from the Engagement Team, to film for the latest TT Kidz program about to be launched.
The headteacher of the school was very helpful, allowing full use of the sports hall and a group of well-behaved pupils to participate in the filming throughout the day. The children worked fantastically during the games and activities and were a real asset to the school.
It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, and our sincere thanks go to the school staff and especially the children for their enthusiasm and support. Watch this space for updates on the TT Kidz program and videos being released from the filming.
Live Q&A and CPD launch
On Sunday 25 January, the Coach Development Team, led by Coach Learning Development Manager Evie Collier, and supported by Brunskill and Aad Kwakkelstein, delivered a live Q&A session outlining the upcoming changes to the qualifications and providing insight into what the new coaching qualifications will look like. The session was very well attended and received very positive responses.
On Tuesday 27 January the team launched its comprehensive CPD programme, starting with Corner Coaching. This proved to be a popular topic, with strong engagement and excellent feedback from all coaches present.
The following day saw another live Q&A session, during which a number of in-depth questions were asked and answered, further supporting coaches during the transition period.
The month concluded with another online CPD session, Player Pathway, the session was led by Collier and supported by Brunskill and Kwakkelstein. The session was very informative, explaining how qualifications and coaching change depending on the age and stage of the players.
Lots of questions were asked and answered and again great feedback from the participants. Thank you to everyone who took time out and participated in the online sessions.
The CPD calendar is still being delivered and now is your chance to register now for the upcoming sessions below.
