Previews and predictions from Rotterdam, Dallas and Buenos Aires

The February swing is ramping up this week with one of the best 500-point tournaments of the tennis season. Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev have withdrawn from Rotterdam, but the field still consists of Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Bublik. Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton play in Dallas, while Joao Fonseca looks to defend his title in Buenos Aires.

Here you will find an overview of this week’s tournaments.

ABN AMRO Open

Where: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Surface: Difficult inside
Points: 500
Prize money: 2,462,660 euros

Top seed: Alex de Minaur
champion of 2025: Carlos Alcaraz (not playing)

Drawing analysis: De Minaur may be the No. 1 seed, but the draw did him no favors. He faces Arthur Fils in the opening round before potentially meeting Stan Wawrinka in the last 16 and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals. Medvedev and Ugo Humbert are also in the top half of the group and will face off in the round. In addition to De Minaur vs. Fils and Medvedev vs. Humbert, there are other first round matches you can watch: Tallon Greek Spoor vs. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Bublik vs. Hubert Hurkacz. Auger-Aliassime, the No. 2 seed, just won the event in Montpellier on Sunday. It was his ninth ATP title and his eighth on indoor hard courts.

Felix Auger-Aliiassime

Is called: Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Bublik

Cold: Alexei Popyrin, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Jan-Lennard Struff, Roberto Bautista Agut, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Arthur Fils

Quarter-final predictions: Alex de Minaur about Botic van de Zandschulp, Ugo Humbert about Cameron Norrie, Alexander Bublik about Jaume Munar, and Felix Auger-Aliassime about Tallon Greekpoor

Semi-finals: The Minaur above Humbert and Auger-Aliassime above Bublik

Final: Auger-Aliassime on De Minaur

Nexo Dallas Open

Where: Dallas, Texas
Surface: Difficult inside
Points: 500
Prize money: $2,833,835

Top seed: Taylor Fritz
Defending champion: Denis Shapovalov

Drawing analysis: Fritz suffered from all kinds of physical problems at the Australian Open, but the American continues to insist on playing week after week. As such, he’ll get right back on the horse in Dallas, where he’ll be on a collision course with Frances Tiafoe for the quarterfinals. Apprentice Ten is a possible semi-final opponent for Fritz or Tiafoe, but the fast-rising southpaw faces a tough test in the first round with Marin Cilic. At the bottom of the draw, Shelton starts his week against Gabriel Diallo before potentially meeting Montpellier runner-up Adrian Mannarino in the second round and Tommy Paul in the last eight. Defending champion Denis Shapovalov finds himself in a difficult section of the rankings, along with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Grigor Dimitrov and Alex Michelsen.

Quarter-final predictions: Frances Tiafoe on Brandon Nakashima, Learner Tien on Eliot Spizzirri, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Rafael Jodar and Ben Shelton on Tommy Paul

Semi-finals: Ten over Tiafoe and Shelton over Davidovich Fokina

Final: Ten over Shelton

Argentina opened

Where: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Surface: Clay
Points: 250
Prize money: $675,310

Top seed: Francisco Cerundolo
Defending champion: Joao Fonseca

Drawing analysis: Luciano Darderi and Sebastian Baez are undoubtedly the two most popular players in the Buenos Aires field, but they would face each other in the semi-finals instead of the final. They are both in the bottom half of the bracket and should have no trouble reaching the semi-finals in a much weaker section than the top. Number 1 seed Francisco Cerundolo should be able to beat Matteo Berrettini in the quarter-finals and Fonseca in the semi-finals to reach the final. Fonseca defeated Cerundolo in the championship match last year.

Is called: Luciano Darderi, Sebastian Baez

Cold: Daniel Altmaier, Matteo Berrettini, Facundo Diaz Acosta, Mariano Navone

Quarter-final predictions: Francisco Cerundolo over Vit Kopriva, Tomas Martin Etcheverry over Joao Fonseca, Sebastian Baez over Francisco Comesana and Luciano Darderi over Pedro Martinez

Semi-finals: Cerundolo above Etcheverry and Darderi above Baez

Final: Darderi above Cerundolo
