While the plane was supposed to transport Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to an event, the sighting of the plane still raised concerns.

The presidential “Doomsday Plane” recently landed at LAX airport, prompting internet users to speculate about the ominous sighting.

According to TMZThe aircraft, officially named the Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post, left the Los Angeles location on January 8. The aircraft itself is a Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, which was first deployed with the US Air Force in January 1980.

“In the event of a national emergency or destruction of ground command and control centers, the aircraft provides a highly survivable command, control and communications center to direct U.S. forces, execute emergency war orders, and coordinate civil authority actions,” as detailed by the military branch on its website.

In addition to footage of the landing, an

The Los Angeles Times reported that the flight carried Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to Southern California for his “Arsenal of Freedom” tour.

To keep the aircraft in good condition, it may therefore be necessary to take off occasionally. However, given the tumultuous geopolitical climate, its appearance in the sky has confused some Americans concerned about a possible Third World War.

Despite the explanation for the LAX landing, online conspirators continued to ponder what the plane’s appearance could still mean. As the US conflict with Venezuela continues to escalate, some believe the announced landing was intended to send a message to other countries.

“…That plane often flies in all directions. That’s not rare. Was this definitely a message? Absolutely,” said one user.

In addition to its more informal use, the Air Force also maintains the “Doomsday Plane” at all times in case of extreme emergencies. The aircraft is even resistant to electromagnetic pulses and nuclear effects. It can accommodate 111 people and has a command work area, a conference room, a briefing room and a work area for the operations team.
