Looking at these Premier League luminaires in these round of competitions.
The other games see from a Newcastle United Perspective.
Eddie Howe and his players start at 4.30 pm in their Sunday game at home at Arsenal.
First of all, seven other Premier League matches on Saturday.
Then two on Sunday including the NUFC competition.
Before finally on Monday evening.
As a fan of Newcastle United, watch the other Premier League matches this weekend and you think about what you would like to happen and what is probably in terms of results.
Saturday 27 September
Brentford v Man U (12.30 pm)
Chelsea in Brighton (3 p.m.)
Palace against Liverpool (3 p.m.)
Leeds v Bournemouth (3 p.m.)
Man City v Burnley (3 p.m.)
Forest v Sunderland (5.30 pm)
Spurs V Wolven (8 p.m.)
Sunday 28 September

Monday September 29
Everton v West Ham (8 p.m.)
This is what the top of the table looks like on Saturday morning (September 27, 2025) before one of the Premier League matches is played this weekend:
My conclusions
Saturday 27 September
Brentford v Man U (12.30 pm)
Writing this article a little later than intended.
I see none of these teams ending in the upper half of the table.
I think Amorim is hopeless, completely from its depth in the Premier League. Part of the enormous (expensive) problems at Man U, not part of solution.
I thought this game looked a draw and with the man you currently lose 2-1 with an hour disappeared while this article will rise, it could exceed my hope and expectations.
Chelsea in Brighton (3 p.m.)
Chelsea plays their feeder club and looks closely at who they will sign in the near future.
As usual, the hype around Chelsea is ridiculous. They have so many players, but not much real quality, luckily to be won in Lincoln in midweek. Brighton has a good team and really good manager I think the seagulls dive here at least one point here.
Palace against Liverpool (3 p.m.)
I saw that even Arne Slot admitted how Lucky Liverpool has been this season with late winners almost every match, including at home in Southampton in midweek.
Just like Brighton, Palace has a good manager and does not seem to be by losing star players. I think that here is another draw and the first palace to deny Luckypool a victory.
Leeds v Bournemouth (3 p.m.)
It was an excellent result for Newcastle in the circumstances last weekend, because Bournemouth looks good. Iraola is another very good manager and hopefully Leeds will get something here. I think that although Leeds will eventually be relegated and Bournemouth will win today.
Man City v Burnley (3 p.m.)
Haaland looks good, but as a team I don’t think Man City is convincing. Losing Spurs and Brighton in the Premier League and throwing away a victory against Arsenal with Pep ridiculously defensive. They have only defeated two bad teams, Wolves and Man U, in the Premier League and maybe Burnley gets a surprise point. Martin Dubravka has been in great form and after losing Tottenham on the opening day, Burnley defeated the Mackems in the competition and received a draw in Forest, in between they gave the winning of goals for the opposition in added time at Old Trafford and at home against Luckypool. Man City is clearly huge favorites and is expected to win, but they are not the formidable power of the past.
Forest v Sunderland (5.30 pm)
A lively start of the season for the Mackems after relatively large money. Forest still has a number of really good players and after their management shenanigans have calmed down, they have to win these against Sunderland.
Spurs V Wolven (8 p.m.)
Only one place separated these two clubs in the Premier League last season and I predict Wolves to get at least one point.
Not entirely at the level of how the media will continue about Chelsea, but traces another that gets a laughable hype. They lost at home from Bournemouth in the competition and the last time in the PL they were very lucky to draw 2-2 in Brighton who were two down and they should have finished the seagulls. Wolves have lost all five Premier League matches, but both carabao cup matches have won against PL -Popping position, West Ham and Everton. Just as I don’t think traces are as good as the media want us to believe, I don’t think wolves are as bad as many think. Their manager received a tune from them last season and I think their successful fight to survive can start here, with a point or even surprising victory.
Sunday 28 September
Villa V Fulham (2 p.m.)
The only game that Fulham lost this season in all competitions was when she was cheated by the leadership in Chelsea and then losing. The only match that Villa won this season was in midweek against Bologna in the Europa League. Villa was lucky to win that and couldn’t even win last weekend when he led against ten men Sunderland. I think Fulham wins this on Sunday.
Newcastle V Arsenal – The only competition that really counts. Newcastle who wants to make the four home wins in a row on Arsenal (without giving a goal in one of the last three in St James’ park against the Gunners. With four clean sheets in five PL games so far, I could add another, with NUFC who won one or two goals.
Monday September 29
Everton v West Ham (8 p.m.)
David Moyes seems to be doing well, if not spectacular work with Everton. Their loss for wolves in midweek suggests that they have limitations and no better than average, if that.
Moyes was appointed twice as a manager at West Ham and knows everything about the mess there. Potter fired today and apparently Nuno stood in line. Maybe the hammers get a bit of a new manager bouncement that is high enough to get them a point in a competition that will not be much neutral desperate to look at.
