Moment of the week
Do we have a real title race on our hands? Aston Villa certainly shook things up this weekend. A final goal from Emi Buendia sank league leaders Arsenal at Villa Parkwith a result in which Manchester City and Villa close the gap.
Arsenal have largely looked like champions-elect this season, but a disappointing draw against 10-man Chelsea and Saturday’s setback in the Midlands have got things moving.

There are now just three points separating the top three ahead of a grueling festive period that will see Arsenal and Aston Villa meet again before the New Year celebrations.
Player of the week
Kiernan Dewsbury Hall was ready for a new challenge this summer. A move to Chelsea had not worked out as hoped, while a reunion with Enzo Maresca meant little more than appearances in the Europa Conference League.
He is flourishing at Everton. Safe in the knowledge that he is one of the first names on the team list, Dewsbury-Hall is performing at a level that deserves that status. Against Nottingham Forest this weekend he was everywhere.

He created the opening goal within two minutes, smashing another effort against the woodwork and sealing a 3-0 success by driving home third. Everton are in sixth place and have put their recent relegation battle behind them. The arrival of Dewsbury-Hall for a fee of around £25 million looks brilliant.
Goal of the week
This could easily be one of the goals of the season.
A fantastic flowing Fulham move, capped by a bold finish outside the boot Harry Wilson. The Welsh winger has a goalscoring catalog that rivals almost anyone.

Rescue of the week
Leeds vs Liverpool really had it all. Goals, controversy, mistakes and some super saves. This big hand of Luke Perry ensured Leeds got a result at Elland Road, diving at full speed to keep out Virgil van Dijk’s header.

Statistic of the week
There have only been 20 occasions in the Premier League where a player has scored directly from a corner.
Welcome to the club, Bruno Guimaraes.

Quote of the week
It had to be him, right?
Dissatisfied with his recent performance at Liverpool, Muhammad Salah left Leeds as an unused substitute and after dropping an impressive interview in the mixed zone.
Can his relationship with the Reds, and Arne Slot in particular, be repaired? Or will this be a sad end for a true Liverpool legend?

A week to forget…
What happened Ibrahima Konate this season?
Amid a plethora of underperforming players at Liverpool, his fall from grace was perhaps the most stark. The Frenchman has been a colossal presence for the Reds in recent seasons, but his performances this season have been littered with mistakes.
Against Leeds this weekend he delivered a pointless slide on Wilfried Gnonto, giving Leeds a lifeline, turning a comfortable win into a chaotic clash and ultimately yet more loss of points for the champions. His contract expires this summer and uncertainty about his future could stand in his way. Arne Slot must remove the defender from the line of fire, but his options are scarce.
