Our Premier League Awards honor the best – and worst – action of the weekend, featuring Phil Foden, Reece James and Harry Wilson.
Moment of the week
The battle for England’s number ten at this summer’s World Cup is a competitive battle. Morgan Rogers has been in possession of the shirt lately, as have Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham and Phil Voet have competed for suitability and favor.
This weekend, Foden sent a reminder to Thomas Tuchel about his quality. The 25-year-old saved Manchester City against Leeds by scoring twice as Pep Guardiola’s side overcame a potential banana peel.

A lovely headed finish opened the scoring within a minute, before Foden showed the neat footwork in tight areas he is known for as he fired a winner in the 91st minute.
Foden returns to his best in a blue shirt, in encouraging news for club and country. How crucial could this winner prove to be in the title race after Arsenal dropped points the next day?
Player of the week
Moving full-backs into midfield has not always been a successful experiment for Premier League managers in recent years. Reece James’s However, a relocation for Chelsea is starting to look sensible.
The Chelsea captain was huge as his side held Arsenal at Stamford Bridge despite a 38th-minute red card for team-mate Moises Caicedo in midfield. In his absence, James was everywhere, leading Chelsea with a calming presence and winning elite matches.
Fitness permitting, he will likely play at right-back for England next summer, but James has shown he can go toe-to-toe with Europe’s best midfielders.

Goal of the week
The term ‘left foot stick’ is overused, but it certainly applies to Fulham’s Harry Wilson.
The vision, courage and execution of this goal saw Fulham leave Tottenham Hotspur with three points and bragging rights. Guglielmo Vicario doesn’t want to watch this again…

Rescue of the week
Winless Wolves must be wondering when their luck will change. The bottom club in the Premier League faced an inspired one Emi Martinez this weekend, with this save from Yerson Mosquera the best of them all.
It is five wins on the spin for Villa, who are in third place. Their early-season struggles are clearly in the rearview mirror.

Statistic of the week
Bruno Fernandes has now provided more Premier League assists (56) than Manchester United great Paul Scholes (55). Impressive enough, but when you realize he has played 291 fewer games than Scholes, it puts the achievement on another level.
Magnificent.
56 – Bruno Fernandes now has more Premier League assists for Manchester United (56) than Paul Scholes (55). Only Ryan Giggs (162), Wayne Rooney (93) and David Beckham (80) scored more for the Red Devils in the competition. To climb. pic.twitter.com/qmJW8DPZ2i

A week to forget…
No shortage of candidates for this one.
Guglielmo Vicarios gift for Fulham saw the Spurs striker booed by his own fans this weekend Moises Caicedos An ugly challenge on Mikel Merino resulted in a red card in the first half and left Chelsea up against Arsenal.
Lucas Paqueta An avoidable red card for West Ham could be the worst of all. The Brazilian earned himself back-to-back yellow cards for dissent from Darren England, before sarcastically applauding the officials as he left the field. His departure all but ended West Ham’s hopes of a result against Liverpool.
