Predicted line-up of Man Utd against Wolverhampton Wanderers

After a narrow 1-0 win over Newcastle United, Manchester United will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League tonight.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the table with 29 points from 18 games, just three points behind Liverpool in fourth place.

On the other hand, Wolves are currently bottom with just two points, losing their last twelve consecutive games in all competitions. They have not won a Premier League match since April. United faced Rob Edwards’ side earlier this month and won the match 4-1.

Team news

Bryan Mbeumo, Noussair Mazraoui and Amad Diallo are not eligible tonight as they are away with their respective countries to play in AFCON.

Additionally, Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt, Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes will remain sidelined due to their respective injury problems.

Mason Mountain steadily the last time he was injured against Newcastle he was taken off during the break. So he probably won’t be available for this meeting either.

Predicted lineup

After sticking with his preferred 3-4-2-1 formation, Ruben Amorim switched to 4-2-3-1 on Boxing Day due to numerous absences. But if Mount cannot play, the Portuguese boss could return to his old three system.

Senne Lammens is expected to be between the sticks, while Ayden Heaven, Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw are likely to be the back three. After recovering from his long-term injury, Lisandro Martínez started his first game on Friday, and he may not be ready to start two games in just three days.

Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu, who scored his first goal for United vs Newcastle, could be the two full-backs. Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro form the duo in midfield.

Matheus Cunha should be in the left No. 10 position, while Joshua Zirkzee could be on the other side. Benjamin Sesko will take charge at Man Utd, meaning Amorim may have to keep faith with the academy youth on the bench.

Tyrell Malacia even played a few minutes last time, despite being transfer-listed last summer. So he could also be involved in this game if necessary.
