The 2025–26 season is almost here, and with the Calgary Flames that return almost all the selection from last year, we are ready for another intriguing year. After the team was in 29th place in the NHL in scoring last year, who will get up in 2025-26 to speed up the flames in every major Stat category? Let’s predict the Stat leaders of the Calgary Flames this season
Goals – Mattino Mattone
The flames do not exactly have a ton of attacking firepower on the Roster. Only one player got 30 goals last year, and only three hit 20. I think this is a race with two horses between Nazem Kadri and Matt Coronato. No offense to Johnathan Hukerkdeau, but I see him no more than 18% shooting in 2025–26.
After a strong Rookie season with 24 goals, Coronato is planned to start the year on the top line of the team and the Power Play unit, which should help him improve his Rookie -to total. I think a combination of Coronato is taking a step and some age regression from Kadri will give Coronato the lead. I will say that in 2025–26 he lands around the 30 target period.
Assistert – Johnathan Huberdeau
For a player who once hit 85 assists in a single season, Johnathan Huberdeau never led the flames in assists in one of his three seasons in Calgary. I go on a limb and say that changes in 2025–26. With demonstrably the best pure target scorer with which Huberdau played in Calgary to be on his opposite side of the Flames, Coronato has to theoretically help stimulating Huberdeau’s assistentals.
I will predict that he will end up around 40-assist Mark, six better than his total 2024-25 and good enough to lead the flames in 2025–26. I will say that a dark horse in this race is Zayne Parekh. The Rookie has been dynamite in the preseason and seems to be constantly set up opportunities for large dangers for his teammates.
Points – Nazem Kadri
Last year’s Point Leader Crown was dominated by Kadri and Huberdeau, the only two flames with more than 60 points. Nobody else even reached 50. This year I think Coronato enters the race as a potential new candidate to lead the team in scoring, although I think Kadri has locked this at least one season.
The top center of the team, Kadri, will undoubtedly play a lot of minutes on even strength and on the Power Play in 2025–26. I will predict that he will take a light step back, but lands around 60 points and leads the flames in scoring for the third consecutive season.
Schoten – Nazem Kadri
This is Kadri’s race to lose. Last season, the Veteran Center led all the flames in Schoten with a gigantic margin and ended with 85 more shots than the next highest player. The year before he had 68 shots more than any other flame. Needless to say that it would have a small miracle for everyone to surpass Kadri in Schoten this year.
If anyone can do it, it is Coronato, who had 180 shots last year in 77 competitions and this year should get a lot more from Game One.
Hits – Martin Postivil
Martin Pospisil is a hits -devil. He led the Flames last year with 300 hits, the only player on the Roster who hit the 300 mark. The next nearest had only 176. His hits/60 statistics were pure insanity, sitting at 16.14 hits per 60. The next nearest regular skater in the team was Ryan Lomberg, who was only 10.39.
Pospisil tempo not just the flames in hits; He walked up almost the entire NHL. His 301 hits are in third place in the entire competition in 2024-25. If someone can surpass him in 2025–26, it is Adam Klapka, who registered 21.65 hits per 60 during his 31 NHL matches last year. If he becomes a fixture this season, he might have the chance to catch Pospisil.
Time On Ice – Mackenzie Weegar
Only two flames played more than 22 minutes a night last season, Mackenzie Weegar and Rasmus Andersson. Since someone is almost guaranteed not the entire season, this is easy to lose the race. The undisputed number one defender of the Flames, Weegar, could even log in for more minutes than his 24:10 from last season as soon as Andersson is treated.
The only name that Weegar could challenge is Kevin Bahl, who was an average of 21:23 during his first season in Calgary. He will probably be the second option of the Flames as soon as Andersson is gone this season.
Win, gaa, save% – Dustin Wolf
Let’s say that if Dustin Wolf does not lead the flames in every important category of goal congregation, it has been a disastrous season. Nobody is allowed to get around to touch his victory total, gaa or savings percentage.
