The police of Medford arrested a 22-year-old man on Saturday with the non-fatal shooting on a youth victim, the department reported.
Core Moore, 22, of Medford, is accused of three counts of armed attack on murder, mistreatment and battery with a dangerous weapon, attack on a family or member of the household, strangulation or suffocation, and more in connection with the incident at Light Guard Drive, the police said.
At about 2 hours on Saturday, the police responded to reports from Schoten in the area, the department said. On the spot, officers found a youth victim with a shot wound.
The minor received help on the spot, the police said, and transferred to an area hospital with non-lifferring injuries.
The police of Medford stated that they performed an extensive search and have found several Shell shells from a parking space between Light Guard Drive and Rockwell Avenue.
The police brought in the SWAT team of the Northern Massachusetts Legal Enforcement Council to take Moore in custody, the department said. The suspect was arrested for an excellent order.
Medford Police and the Middlesex DA office continue to investigate the incident. The police insisted on everyone with information to call the department on 781-391-6767, even if they want to stay anonymous.
It is expected that Moore will be presented in the court of Somerville on Monday morning.
