Keegan Bradley
For the second time in two years, Keegan Bradley finds himself the number one snub. After he had been left of the Ryder Cup team of 2023, Bradley was appointed leader for 2025. He chose to leave himself off the schedule, even though he is in 11th place in the World Golf rankings, the highest ranked player who is not selected and higher than all, except one second to one second one except one after one after one after one after one after one after one second except one after one second except one after one after one after one after one after one second except one after one after one after one after one after one second one, except one after one, except one after one, except one after one, except one after one, except one for one after one second one, except one for one second one, except one for one second one, except one for one second one, except one for one second one, except one for one second one for one second one for one second one for one post one, one after one, one second except one for one second second secondly.
“I’m 100 percent sure this is the right choice,” said Bradley. “I want to be the best captain I can be.”
Brian Harman
Harman strongly closed the season with four consecutive Top-25 Finishes. He is in 13th place in the World Golf Rankings and won Valero open this year. With earlier Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup experience in 2023 and 2024, many expected him to be in the mix.

Maverick McNealy
Maverick McNealy put a solid season together with a victory and seven Top-10 Finishes. Although he cooled late in the year, he was still third at the BMW championship. He is the highest ranked player behind Bradley to miss the selection, who ends for Sam Burns, Cameron Young and Patrick Cantlay. McNealy’s lack of elite driving distance may be incorporated in the decision, given the demanding layout of Bethpage Black.
Chris Gotterup
Chris Gotterup rose late in the season, won the Scottish open and finished third in the Open Championship. He also finished 10th in the FedEx Cup classification. Known as one of the longest batters of the Tour, in 8th place in the strokes of the Tee, Gotterup looked like an ideal fit for Bethpage Black. Yet the captain went a different direction.
