It is almost 20 years since the Tampa Bay Rays had hit a player in a season at least 40 homeruns. On Tuesday, Junior Caminero achieved that totally in a dramatic way when he launched a match that Homerun Bond in a crucial match against the Seattle Mariners.
Caminero plays with an extreme intensity while the rays want to make one of the most unlikely runs to the play -offs in MLB history.
In the past three days, the team has done everything it needs to win and now they have won six consecutive games and are only 2.5 games back in the Wild Card Chase.
Junior Caminero is a large part of the reason for their success.
On Tuesday, Caminero hit the first to make the rays forward. Then in the 6th, Caminero launched the game that Homerun Bond. A collection later, Caminero adorned a double to make the rays forward again.

Caminero has had an incredible season, made even more incredible due to the fact that he was just 22 years old at the beginning of July. So far in 2025, Caminero .263/.304/.540 with 40 hours, registers a 126 WRC+ and has built 3.9 Fwar.
Since the return of the All-Star break, Caminero has been on fire and .287/.331/.629 with 17 hours above 181 PA; Caminero has the 12th highest fwar in baseball at the time and has the 11th highest WRC+.
