1. The coffee output of India for the harvest year 2025-26, from October, is linked to a record high of 4.03 Lakh Ton (LT), according to the post-blosom estimates of the Coffee Board. These first projections are higher by approximately 11 percent compared to the final estimates of the 2024-25 of 3.63 LT.

2. Villages throughout India can soon see a decrease in rotting cow manure heaters, thanks to a new initiative of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The NDDB draws up 15 staff biogas (CBG) for an amount of £ 750 crore in six states – Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Odisha and Bihar – to convert cow manure into clean energy.

Average mandi (agricultural market garden) prices of important kharif pulses and oil-containing seeds rule lower with £ 1,76-1.778 per quintal than their respective minimum support prices (MSPs) of the 2025-26 season, even if arrivals of fresh harvest started in some areas. If the prices remain depressed after stocks rise from mid -October, the government is under pressure to intervene and buy crops at MSPs under the price support schedule.
