Oscar Piastri has driven a flawless race from the pole position to win the Bahrain Grand Prix, his second victory this Formula 1 season.
The Australian was in its own class to beat Mercedes’ George Russell in the Second and McLaren Teammate Lando Norris third.
Russell will be investigated after the race to open his Drs (Drag Reduction system) illegally.
Norris produced a nice recovery ride after he was punished for five seconds for a false start, while world champion Max Verstappen suffered two horror pit stops to be the sixth.
A Safety Car in round 33 of 57 bundled the field once Piastri had built a big lead, but once Racing resumed, the Australian proved that he was the fastest in the Bahrain desert.

“It was nice to finish the job in style today.
“I can’t thank the team enough for the car they have given us. It’s pretty handy outside of it.”
Piastri goes to second place in the rankings of the driver’s championship, only three points behind Norris.
While Piastri received a brilliant launch off the line, his teammate Norris was punished for a false start.
Norris jumped from the sixth to the third in the opening corners, but his McLaren rolled past his schedule box while the British driver caught up first gear before the lights went out.
Mercedes driver George Russell was able to jump from the third to the second of the start, because most drivers started with the soft composite band.
Ferrari chose to start on the medium -sized connection, a deviation from their rivals.
Norris put on round 10 of 57 and tried a huge undermining to compensate for his five -second fine for the false start.
While Piastri and Russell drove in the distance, Leclerc was able to catch up with the difference in PIT strategy Norris for the third.
A safety car in round 33 to erase debris, bundled the field and turned the race into a shootout of 20 laps when racing was resumed to round 37.
Both McLaren drivers had medium -sized tires and the Ferraris had the hard compound, while Russell rode the last stint on the soft band.
Norris initially fell to the fifth of the restart behind both Ferraris, but was able to make his way to claim the stage.
At the end, Russell fought with equipment and computer problems with his Mercedes, which led to the rear wing that wrongly opened in the race.
“We had all kinds of malfunctions, one round I clicked on the radio button and opened the Drs,” said Russell.
“I hit and went backwards, so I got no benefit.”
But there were no problems for Piastri, who made each function a winner and claimed the victory for more than 15 seconds.
Red Bull Pit stops costs Verstappen der Very
The Bahrain Grand Prix was a race to forget for defensive world champion Max Verstappen, who cut a furious figure while saw his rivals ride in the distance.
The Red Bull struggled all weekend before pace around the Bahrain International Circuit, where Verstappen started on Monday morning seventh, Aest.
But every hope for a Verstappen -Masterclass was limited by two horrible pit stops, which sent him through the grid.
The first stop of Verstappen came in round 10 of 57, but he was quiet for almost five seconds because the automated green light, assumes to let the driver know to leave the pits, never flashed for the world champion.
The Red Bull Ace had attached hard composite tires to his car, a deviation from his rivals that went for mediums, and turned out to be the wrong choice.
