PHOTOS: High-scoring SLU turns up defensive heat to down GCU, 78-64

After averaging 103 points through their first three games of the young season, the SLU Billikens turned up the defensive heat against Grand Canyon University and posted a 78-64 victory. During a 12-minute span in the second half, SLU turned a 2-point lead into 27, forced the Antelopes into 14 missed shots, four turnovers, and the Billikens also had 3 blocks. Sophomore guard Amari McCottry led all scorers with 20 points.
