Photo First is trained by Greg Scott and will contest the competition third racea national classification event of 60-64 over 2090 meters.
“I think he’ll find another winnable race,” Duggan said.
“He was outside the leader when he won at Launceston three starts ago (December 5), and in the next two races he has pulled away from the field late, and he is still a horse who learns every start.
The six-year-old Village Jolt gelding’s last two wins were in Hobart, the most recent on January 4 with Jacob in the sulky, where he led all the way.
“He can get a bit lost at the front on his own, but because he can race back into the field when they run even times, he can get over it late.
“The draw looks perfect for him (on Friday), it looks like there will be a bit of speed there. I thought Iden Lady Lincoln could be the early leader, back to an easier race coming out of the Nations Cups.
Another opportunity, according to Duggan, with his book of drifts is Sue Nien, in race five.
“She was initially good on the 2579 meters, which will give her good condition and she will return to her favorite tour (1609 meters).
The seven-race Hobart card starts at 5:29 p.m.
