The six-time Major winner will carry New York with him wherever he goes, after adding the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge to his body. The design reflects both freedom and connection, themes that have quietly defined Carlos’ rise to the biggest stages.
This is not the first time the US Open has left a lasting mark on the Spaniard. He lifted his first Major trophy in New York in 2022, becoming the first teenager to hold a Major trophy since Rafael Nadal.
Alcaraz then taped the winning date to his skin, marking his breakthrough moment that launched him to tennis stardom. Three years later, the tradition continues, with the young man keeping his promise and adding two landmarks to his growing tattoo collection.
As usual, Carlos opted for simplicity, letting the meaning speak louder than the design. His latest tattoo immortalizes his incredible US Open campaign and one of the greatest serving displays in the tournament’s history.
The Spaniard faced Jannik Sinner in the final and secured a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory for his sixth Major title at the age of 22. Alcaraz only faced one break point, but Sinner grabbed it to claim the second set.
However, the defending champion felt the pressure in his matches in the remaining sets. Jannik played against eleven break points and got five breaks to push his rival over the top.
The new tattoo recalls that memorable Arthur Ashe Stadium night, the energy of the crowd and a city that has repeatedly seen him at his fearless best.
With a new tattoo on his left forearm, Carlos continues his preparation for 2026. The 22-year-old will be in the hunt for a Career Grand Slam at the Australian Open, although he will have to chase the missing Major crown without Juan Carlos Ferrero in his box.
