Phoenix Suns fans all say the same after victory over Lakers

The Phoenix Suns started their present season Lei of competitions with a 103-81 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday evening, but the result of the least of the worries of the franchise as the regular season approaches. Although it is always nice to win a victory – and against the Lakers – this was about seeing the processes of head coach Jordan Ott more than whatever.

Grayson Allen did not get the start with Jalen Green available – of which we have already said it could be a possibility – while Devin Booker did not seem overly enthusiastic about what Deandre Ayton can bring to Los Angeles in the run -up to the game. They can be former teammates, but no love seems to have been lost there.

Suns fans unite in talking about how nice team is to look again.

The only common theme on social media and beyond in the aftermath of the victory, however, was how nice this group was to pay attention to the field. This has not been the case for the past two plus years, where every error is marked and ridiculed under the par display because of how high the commitment was.

The Suns broke an NBA Finals selection – including Ayton – in favor of chasing Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. The fact that in combination with experienced head coaches in Frank Vogel and Mike Budenholzer meant that the teams were both constantly compared to other contenders – and mostly short – while they were defensively a disaster last season and did not take care of the ball.

This version of the Suns may have had 16 turnover, but new addition Dillon Brooks was just as entertaining as we all knew he would be. Rookie Center Khaman Maluach defeated Ayton – a fact that the valley did not let him forget for a while – and Oso Uighodaro started in the middle of what could be a huge season for him.

In fact, the organization had two seconds that they were in Eighodaro and Ryan Dunn, starting the game, which partly explains the change in the opinion of this schedule. These younger players try harder, and just as important they feel thoroughly Phoenix players. Not guys who have reached their peak who have been prepared to try to win everything.

Perhaps the best of all, Booker was at the forefront of scoring with 24 points. Green that is not on the field means that there are no questions about their fit on this occasion, but perhaps that is just as good. For the first time since owner Mat Ishbia traded for superstars to chase a title, everyone looked like they had fun and enjoyed it again. A great start of a long year ahead.
