PFS Buyer Club Deal Review: Make Profits as a Coin Buyer

PFS Buyer Club Deal Review: Make Profits as a Coin Buyer

5 minutes, 24 seconds Read

PFS Buyer Club is an organization that helps find in-demand items from their army of buyers. I am one of those buyers.

There are no membership fees or anything like that to join the club, you just join.

If you would like an invitation, please email me and I will make sure you get one.

And from time to time, PFS Buyer Club will send you an offer by email. I usually get the ones with a limited issue coin from the US Mint.

📢 Right now they have an offer for the 250th Anniversary US Navy American Eagle one ounce silver proof coin that the Mint will be released on Friday, October 10. You buy it for $110.95 and they pay you $141, which is a profit of $30.05.

Here’s what the process looked like the last time I did it:

What an offer looks like

The last offer I made was for one 2025 Laser Engraved American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin that would retail for $105 plus $5.95 shipping. The offer from the PFS Buyer Club was that they would pay you a commission of $30.05 to purchase the coin and ship the coin to them in the original sealed box from the United States Mint.

With these US Mint releases, they set a time and then distribute everyone in the queue before the release time. If you get there before noon, you will be given a random place in line. If you get in afterwards, you will be placed at the end. PFS recommends that you log in between 11:35 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. for an afternoon release.

PFS provides all kinds of instructions to make this as simple as possible and even identify potential bottlenecks.

This is what the queue looks like:

The return? $30.05 on a $110.95 spend is a quick 27% return just by putting a label on something and dropping it in a FedEx box.

You agree to a number of conditions on the deal:

  • You must place the order before 1pm (it is an afternoon release)
  • If they go on backorder, buy them anyway because you can still get them.
  • Once you complete the order, copy the number USMXXXXXX and enter it into your PFS account with your shipping zip code. The terms of the deal are that you complete this before 7pm ET.
  • You will receive a FedEx shipping label. Simply stick this on the box you receive (without opening it) and ship within two days of receipt.

Once the package arrives at their New York location, they will pay you.

Normally you can get paid via PayPal, but there are currently issues with mass payments.

For now, payouts are made via eCheck, which will be emailed to you within “up to seven business days.” You can print it and deposit it into your account just like a normal check.

PFS communication was great

The amount of communication you get with each deal is phenomenal. It’s step by step with clear instructions. Clearly they have been doing this for a while and have resolved many of the previous issues.

For example, I was expecting the package on Wednesday and when I received a bunch of packages on Tuesday, I opened them all on autopilot. Oops.

I emailed their support and within a day was told it was fine – check the box for the coin, reseal it and send it back with a note on the label (write ‘open’ next to my PFS ID number).

I printed the FedEx Ground label, shipped it the next day and waited. It took a day to reach their New York office and I was paid that evening. All the time I received emails with updates, which I appreciated.

Since I went on a business trip shortly afterwards, I even forgot to pay out. They even sent me an email reminder to cash out:

Dear Jim Wang,

Use this email as a reminder that funds have previously been credited to your PFS Payments account.

You can request a payment by clicking on the words ‘cash out’ (found under your balance) on the My Payments page on our website – https://pfsbuyerclub.com/Deal/MyPayments .

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly.

Thanks again!

Getting paid

Normally you can pay out with PayPal, but they have some problems with that, so they use Deluxe Payment Exchange. Deluxe is (was?) one of the largest check printing companies in the world. Now that people aren’t printing as many checks, I think they’re in the digital check game.

They will email you a PDF that you print. The check only has the front, which contains all the necessary information you would expect to see on the check.

The back is blank. You’re supposed to endorse it like a regular check (sign it towards the end) and then you can deposit it digitally using your bank’s app.

I guess all the pre-printing on the back of a normal check doesn’t matter because my bank cashed it without any problems.

What are the risks?

There are no risks involved in entering into a deal. Sometimes there’s a chance you’ll be waiting in the waiting room and they’ll sell out before you get a chance to buy one.

But if you buy the coin there is a risk that you will ship it and they will never pay you. They’ve already lined up buyers and this is a big deal, so I think this is less likely. You may not know them, but I’ve known about this site for years and have never heard anything bad. The silver coin I shared above is the first deal I ever did with them and I was happy with how quickly and smoothly everything went.

However, it takes time to complete it. In this case, you wait to buy a coin, buy it and wait for delivery, after which you have to ship it again. All for $30 and a little extra spending on your credit card.

But $30 is still $30.

Other offers are more attractive, but carry a greater risk: you buy an item with a higher price.

What comes with no risk is joining their list and hearing about the deals. That’s free.

If you would like to join their email list to hear more about their deals, send me an email and I can send you a referral link.
