Manila, Philippines -Despite a forgetful PBA season 49 -Run, Phoenix ended his Filipino cup campaign with an exclamation mark behind a remarkable match by Ken Tuffin.
Although not necessarily the main shooter of the Fuel Masters, Tuffin Groot appeared in the last game of the season to push Phoenix past Blackwater, 124-109, in Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Friday.

It was perhaps a faint season for the young Phoenix team, but the PBA All-smokie First Team member from 2024 hopes that they can ride their seasonal momentum in season 50.
‘[We’re] Just try to build good habits, I think, ahead to the next season. We trust each other. I think we also had great assist numbers today, “Tuffin said.
‘[I] wanted to take the lead there. [I’m] Glad we won the victory. It was great. “
Tuffin ended a different tough season in a high tone with a double-duble of 29 points-being career high and 14 rebounds.
The efforts of the Far Eastern University product brought the fuel masters to a 4-7 record in the All-Filipino conference.
Tuffin will certainly work on his profession in the low season, but for that he is ready to start a new chapter in his life.
“Self, I will stay here. I think I’m getting married in October, so I might have some free time.”
“We will see what happens. [I’ll] Stay here for now, perhaps get some time away from the game in another landscape and just come back to prepare when coach (Jamike Jarin) wants us to be back. “
