After a month of careful planning Payer Forum was held in Delhi on July 11, 2015.
Yesterday morning came as a distinct shock to me. It was a big day as I had planned this event for my clients Payoneer and to my shock, Delhi was flooded with rain. Still, I reached the location around noon and started preparations. I was skeptical about the arrival of the registrants. I wondered how the people from Jaipur and different cities would arrive on time. However, to my surprise and purely by the courtesy of the panelists and aspirants, the event started at 5:30 in the evening with a packed audience.
What was the Payoneer Meet-up about?
Currently, the Internet of Things has opened up many opportunities for people with unique ideas who are trying to make a name for themselves and earn a better living. quality of life. The event essentially focused on the idea of bringing together freelancers, bloggers, affiliate and email marketers and showing them the current opportunities in the relevant areas. One of the key focuses was to increase awareness about global transactions involving entrepreneurs and international customers, as this channel provides the bulk of IoT capabilities.
The event started with our emcee Addition Aditya Nath Jhahe thrilled the audience with his humor and soon our esteemed speakers began their presentations. Dipesh Garg (Truelancer Founder) presented a detailed statistical account of the increase freelancer and IoT opportunities in Asia Siddhartha Bagga And Mayank Wadhwa (Founders, Paisafly.com) provided deep insights into the looming challenges of entrepreneurship in India. Ritu David as she thrilled audiences with her brilliant embedded digital marketing strategies Arun Prabhudesai taught us the sure ways of successful email marketing. Chitraparna Sinha from Esmee Network showed the process of converting from freelance to a profitable business.
The presentations concluded with Kulwant Nagi explain detailed tricks for affiliate marketing success. I had my share in the middle, but that will come later. The event really came to life when the panel session started and esteemed panelists enjoyed it Vipul Taneja, Siddharth Bagga And Danish Wadhwa stood next to me and answered the various questions that the audience had in mind about the scope and potential of IoT activities.
What was my role in the Payoneer Meet-up?
Except represent from Payoneer Indian Operations together with my partner Chitraparna Sinha and when I ran the whole event I had my own little panel session with the audience showing the pros, cons and essentials of a good freelance lifestyle (or as I call a laptop lifestyle). I outlined that successful businesses are not run by individuals alone, but require a team. Someone can have a great idea, but making it happen requires a diversifying portfolio of work, and that leads to the need for a team. I outlined the importance of personal branding in the ever-increasing digital age and pointed out the important aspects of a good portfolio.
I loved it then at the end of the presentation; people asked me in detail about different aspects of my business and were very interested in my ideologies.
What came out of the Payoneer Meet-up?
Ultimately, we saw a crowd that was much more aware than when they entered the gate Sathya Sai Auditorium soaked in water, but strong in will. Seeing people networking and connecting over tea breaks and dinner was a clear indication that the purpose behind our initiative had been realised. I realized that this kind of awareness about global opportunities and cheaper international payments needs to be made available through multiple channels.
Therefore, my next agenda priority is to create videos of our panelists’ presentations and the audience interactions that have already begun. Also, Sanjukta baaruahour Payoneer representative agreed with our conclusion and we are in discussions to organize similar events in other parts of the country as soon as possible.
If you cannot reach us, I completely understand your situation. Don’t worry; just keep in touch with my website for the videos and latest updates on upcoming events.
