The Top Padel players of Australia have been selected to participate in the inaugural FIP Asia Padel Cup, from 17-24 October 2025 in Doha, Qatar, at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

The first FIP Asia Padel Cup will bring together the best Padel players from the Asia-Oceania region, who will represent their countries in an exciting new chapter for the sport.

The manager for Australia is former tennis world no. 1 and Padel Australia ambassador Pat Rafter, who will again attract the Green and Gold. After representing Australia on the Davis Cup 18 times, Rafter will now represent his country as part of the National Padel team, lovingly known as the Aussie Crocs.

“I am so happy that I represent the Aussie Crocs Padel team in the upcoming FIP Asia Padel Cup in Doha,” said Rafter. “My new passion is another racquets sport, which is really no surprise, but the sport or padel has caught my imagination as has nothing else, and to wear the greenery and gold for another sport will be so fun.”

Rafter joins a strong line -up for men, including Dom Bechard, Jake Benzal, Marious Zelba, Tim Brown, Vuk Velickovic, Emeric Navarro and Ross Taylor.

On the ladies’ side, Australian Padel Tour No.3 Leaded player Sasha Alexander leads a strong team, including Jessica Brycki, Ana Dangond, Ana Renda, Alexia Dalley, Jemma Peterswald, Maheva Cancio and Emily Hare.

Head coach Pascalle Thenoux of women and men’s head coach Toni Pi Alarcon will lead the Australian teams and continue the momentum that they continue during the strong performance of last year on the world cup qualifications in Kuwait.

“Our team is incredibly proud of representing Australia on the international stage,” said Thenoux. “They are motivated, confident and constantly push themselves to train harder and achieve new levels.”

Australia participates in the competition in third place in the men category and second in the women category and will participate in the final phase of the tournament.
