The Rolex Paris Masters has arrived, which means the 2025 tennis season is coming to an end for a slew of players. After this Masters 1000 tournament, there are only a few 250s left on the schedule (Athens and Metz), followed by the Nitto ATP Finals for the top eight.
Novak Djokovic withdrew (just like last year) and the season is over due to injuries to Jack Draper and Holger Rune, but everyone else in the top 18 is playing.
Let’s take a look at what’s in store for the Paris Masters.
Rolex Paris Masters
Where: Paris, France
Surface: Difficult inside
Points: 1000
Prize money: 6,128,940 euros
Top seed: Carlos Alcaraz
Defending champion: Alexander Zverev
Drawing analysis: This event has a history of unexpected results. While recent champions are certainly not unknown, it is worth noting that neither Carlos Alcaraz nor Jannik Sinner have ever captured the Paris title. Since their rise to the top of the game, Paris has been won by Djokovic, Rune and Alexander Zverev.
Sinner has been busy this fall, winning Beijing, the Six Kings Slam and Vienna. That means the second-ranked Italian isn’t exactly well-rested heading into Paris, and he still has the much more important Nitto ATP Finals on his schedule. However, Sinner has a favorable draw. Thanks to the withdrawal of Jakub Mensik, the four-time Grand Slam champion cannot face a seeded player until the fourth round. Ben Shelton is a possible quarterfinal opponent for Sinner, although Shelton is rusty after a shoulder injury suffered at the US Open. In the semi-finals, Sinner could face Zverev or Lorenzo Musetti.

In the Alcaraz section, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Casper Ruud are two players who are dealing with injuries. Both guys are a long way from the Nitto ATP Finals connection, but they have withdrawn from their respective matches in Basel. Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and Alexander Bublik are potential enemies in the semi-finals for Alcaraz.
The first round matches in Paris include Joao Fonseca vs. Denis Shapovalov (a rematch of the Basel quarter-finals), Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard vs. Grigor Dimitrov, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs. Ugo Humbert (a rematch of the Basel semi-final), Jiri Lehecka vs. Valentin Vacherot and Flavio Cobolli vs. Tomas Machac.
Is calledAlexander, Alexander.
Cold: Ben Shelton, Karen Khachanov, Andrey Rublev, Sebastian Baez, Alexandre MĂĽller, Aleksandar Vukic, Lorenzo Sonego, Grigor Dimitrov, Tomas Machac, Aleksandar Kovacevic, Francisco Cerundolo.
Quarter-final predictions: Carlos Alcaraz over Brandon Nakashima, Alex de Minaur over Alexander Bublik, Daniil Medvedev over Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner over Flavio Cobolli
Semi-finals: De Minaur over Alcaraz and Medvedev over Sinner
Final: Medvedev over De Minaur
