The American Attorney General Pam Bondi came on Tuesday in a heated exchange with senator Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Accused him of lying about his military record after asked her about the lobbying activities of her former law firm.

The confrontation took place during the supervision of a supervision of the Senate Committee when Blumenthal Bondi asked for a merger involving its former company Ballard Partners.

Bondi shot back and accused Blumenthal van Liegen about his military record.

“Senator Blumenthal, I can’t believe you would accuse me of inappropriate when you lied about your military service. You lye – you admitted that you lied to be chosen an American senator,” she said, speaking about the senator.

“How do you dare? I am a career officer of justice. You never challenge my integrity,” she added. “Do not hesitate to be honest and impartial as an attorney general, or something related to my former company, Ballard Partners.”

Blumenthal has said earlier that he is “wrong” in Vietnam about serving in Vietnam and said in 2010 that some of his earlier comments were inaccurate.

“A few occasions I have a wrong gearbox about my service, and I regret that and I take full responsibility,” Blumenthal said at the time. He described those comments as “absolutely unintentionally” and said that the error only took place a few times from “hundreds” speeches he has given.

Blumenthal said that he remains proud of his service at the US Marine Corps Reserve.

“Unlike many of my colleagues, I chose to become a member of the army and serve my country,” he said. “I will not allow anyone to take a few misplaced words and dispute my registration.”
