The cancellation of the wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer-composer Palash Muchhal has taken a new twist following some fresh allegations from actor-producer Vidnyan Mane. Mane alleged that Muchhal was caught red-handed with another person in bed during the wedding ceremony. Afterwards the program was canceled for valid reasons. Mane also accused the entire Muchhal family of financial misconduct.

It was first reported that due to Smriti Mandhana’s father’s medical condition, the wedding ceremony had been postponed. Later it was said that the Palaash needed medical attention. After which it was announced that the wedding had been postponed before being officially called off in December 2025.

With the news of Smriti Mandhana’s marriage being canceled, netizens were in complete disbelief. Many started blaming Palaash for all the incidents. Although what really happened behind the scenes is still an unresolved matter for the netizens.
Now, Vidnyan Mane’s statement has taken the speculations to a new level as he claims that Palaash was caught red-handed with another woman in bed.
‘Palash Muchhal beaten up by Indian cricket women’
“I was at the wedding celebrations (November 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha; he was beaten up by the Indian women cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he would get married and settle down in Sangli but it has completely backfired on me,” he said during an interview with Hindustan Times.
Mane also branded the Muchhal family as cheaters. He said he came in contact with the Muchhal family through the Smriti Mandhana family for a film project. But what happened later forced the actor-producer to file a complaint.
“When I met his mother (Amita Muchhal) last month, she said that the budget to release the film has now been increased to ₹1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another Rs 10 lakh or else I wouldn’t get any money back. They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film; so I was forced to file a complaint,” Mane added.

Although Vidnyan Mane’s allegations were denied by Muchhal through an Instagram story. Through the story on social media, Muchhal said that what Mane alleged was ‘completely baseless and factually incorrect’ for which they are going to deal with the matter with appropriate legal action.
“In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I would like to say that these allegations against me are completely baseless and factually incorrect. They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged. My lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal options and this matter will be handled strictly through proper legal channels,” Muchhal wrote on an Instagram Story.
