Page management, preview mode, content analysis and more!

3 minutes, 33 seconds Read

I want to show you a few new features, all of which are coming to Divi 5 today.

The biggest new addition is the Page Manager, which lets you create, edit, duplicate, and delete pages without leaving the builder.

In addition, we have added a new in-app Preview mode. Now you can preview what your website will look like on the front-end with just one click.

You’ll also find a new consolidated page menu in the top bar, new saving options, and a new content drop-down menu for easy access to underlying elements.

Watch the following video to see the new feature in action. 👇

Page management

First, we’ve added a new Page Manager in the builder, which allows you to add, duplicate, delete, and edit any page on your website.

If you’re a Divi power user, you no longer have to leave the builder to work on your entire site. You can stay in the zone instead of navigating the dashboard.

It’s really convenient!

Preview mode

Then we added a new in-app preview mode.

Clicking Preview will immediately hide all UI elements, giving you a clear idea of what your page will look like on the front-end.

You can easily jump in and out of preview mode by clicking the Cmd+Period keys whenever you want to take a look at your finished design.

You can also generate a front-end WordPress preview link from the drop-down menu.

Zoom in content

Divi 5 makes navigating your design and understanding its structure a breeze thanks to the layers panel, breadcrumbs, wireframe view, and various action icon modes.

Well, we’ve added another way to navigate your content! At the end of the breadcrumbs you will find a new drill-down icon, which allows you to easily travel to underlying elements.

Also, here’s a quick tip you probably didn’t know. You can scroll through your content tree using the up and down arrow keys. Navigate left and right to parents and children, and navigate up and down to adjacent elements within a container.

You never have to make an effort to click on a particular element; there are so many ways to navigate.

New options in the top bar

You will also notice that the top bar looks different.

We’ve merged all the icons into a new page-level menu and added keyboard shortcuts for each. Everything is available here, along with some new options like a list of recently opened pages for quick access.

Don’t worryIf you miss the icons, you can add them back from the page settings panel. You’re in control, allowing you to hide the icons you don’t use to reduce clutter.
